Victoria Barkley, portrayed by Barbara Stanwyck, is the widow of Thomas Barkley. She is the head of the wealthy, influential Barkley family living in 19th century Stockton in California's Central Valley. Victoria is the owner and head of the Barkley ranch. She loves and is proud of all her children, including her late husband's illegitimate son Heath.
